OEC Reaches New Heights in Donations to Harvest for Hunger Campaign with Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank

CLEVELAND, OH, May 9, 2017 – OEConnection LLC (OEC), a leading technology employer in Northeast Ohio, participated in the annual Harvest for Hunger campaign to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and bring awareness to the fight against hunger. During the month of March, OEC coordinated several fundraising activities to encourage associates to donate funds and canned goods, resulting in record-breaking donations of more than $10,000, equivalent to 40,000 meals, to feed hungry residents in the community.

“This year, our associates really went above and beyond in supporting the Harvest for Hunger campaign,” said Amy French, OEC Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer. “Not only did they organize various company-wide events, but they made it fun to support a great cause and raise more donations than ever before,” French added.

“The Harvest for Hunger campaign is critical to our ability to raise awareness about hunger, secure funds and ultimately, provide greater access to food for more people in need in Northeast Ohio,” said Dan Flowers, President and CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. “We are proud to partner with OEC, and are grateful for their dedication to our community.”
