Dear Collision Repair Professionals,
Since launching RepairLogic in 2022, our goal has always been to support the collision repair industry with technology that not only makes repair planning faster but also makes it more accurate, ultimately resulting in quality repairs. With each new feature, update, and report, we aim to consistently improve how collision shops research, plan, and execute OEM-compliant repairs.
In this fifth edition of the RepairLogic Field Report, we're focusing on something fundamental to providing safe and proper repairs: Confidence. Confidence in the research you conduct, the repairs you complete, and the conversations you have with insurers, vehicle owners, and within the repair team. You'll also see how RepairLogic continues to build that confidence by delivering a measurable impact, including:
75% of shops complete full repair plans in under 30 minutes
Nearly half see a decrease in supplements
RepairLogic now supports 90% of vehicles on the road today
52% experience fewer comebacks
This report represents a collective effort between OEC's Repair Intelligence team, product experts, and our growing network of collision repair professionals. Drawing from proprietary data, survey feedback, and real-world shop insights across thousands of RepairLogic users, it reflects the collaborative effort driving safer, more confident repairs across the industry.
We are also excited to share professional insights from shops like Dayton Collision Center and Loyalty Collision, who use RepairLogic not just as a tool, but as a foundation for better communication, operations, and for establishing trust in their shops.
Let's keep raising the bar together.
Sincerely,
Tanya Sweetland,Senior Vice President of Collision | OEC

Efficiency in Action: Building a Complete Repair Plan
Collision repair facilities today face increasing pressure to deliver accurate repair plans quickly, but many shops still struggle with time-consuming manual processes. To better understand these challenges and the impact of RepairLogic on shop operations, we surveyed users across the industry.
According to the most recent RepairLogic survey data:
45% of respondents reported taking more than 30 minutes to create a full repair plan with other tools [prior to using RepairLogic]
With other tools, navigating multiple sources and PDFs slows down production and leads to missed steps
With RepairLogic, the process changes dramatically:
of shop respondents create full repair plans in under 30 minutes
75%+
of shop respondents create full repair plans in 15 minutes or less
47%
This significant increase in repair planning and research efficiency benefits estimators, improves cycle time, reduces mental fatigue, and builds trust that all OEM-required steps are being captured the first time. Plus, with extra time in the day, collision shops can increase daily repair volume, drive greater profitability, and focus on delivering quality repair experiences to your customers.

Efficiency, Consistency, and Quality
At Loyalty Collision Centers, Manager Bryan Nuhn faced a familiar challenge: research on uncommon vehicles could take up to 45 minutes, slowing production and creating bottlenecks for all repairs. RepairLogic turned that around for his team.
Now, with faster research using RepairLogic:
The team has time to research every job with welding, sectioning, or electrical work
Nuhn performs quality control to review plans and identify process improvements
“What used to take 45 minutes now takes 5. That's what gave us the confidence to require a full repair plan on jobs with welding, sectioning, or electrical work.”
Bryan NuhnManager, Loyalty Collision Centers
Nuhn described how RepairLogic has streamlined both estimator compliance and insurer conversations: "If you give them the right tools, they're going to do it." Nuhn added, "I'm not on calls with insurance nearly as much anymore."
The Impact of Linked Procedures
64% of procedures in RepairLogic include automated linked procedures
OEM procedures often trigger a chain of related operations that can dramatically impact repair time, cost, and quality. These related operations are known as "linked procedures." When linked procedures go unseen, repairers risk missing critical OEM-required actions or steps that affect safety, compliance, or customer satisfaction. Without the right tools, it's easy to feel uncertain about whether you've captured a complete repair. That's why automated linked procedures help instill added confidence in repairers who use RepairLogic.
From the first procedure that gets entered into your repair plan, RepairLogic, on average, identifies an additional 6 or more linked procedures. This ensures that you and your team deliver a complete and proper repair based on OEM requirements. Pair this with OEM-backed documentation and you promote customer safety and satisfaction while fueling steady growth for your business.

Importantly, these linked procedures are not optional or redundant but often critical to completing the repair correctly. Whether it's disabling a restraint system before a weld or recalibrating a sensor after a part replacement, these linked procedures and steps help ensure vehicles are returned safely and in full compliance with OEM requirements. Without visibility into current procedures, repairers are left attempting to apply past experience to new and complex repairs, which undermines quality, safety, and confidence, especially given the evolving nature of vehicle technology.

1.
Honda Parking Assist Initialization:
A seemingly minor fender bender requiring a single sensor replacement requires numerous additional procedures, including module reprogramming and calibrations.
2.
Audi Headlight Replacement:
Technicians at ACX, a large MSO in Canada, discovered that when replacing a headlight on certain Audi models, the procedures called for an evacuation of the AC system and removal of a condenser hose. An additional 4.5 labor hours that were completed, but [without RepairLogic] were unaccounted for and unbilled.
By making linked procedures obvious and actionable, RepairLogic empowers shops to catch critical operations that other solutions miss before they turn into a problem. At the same time, by automating linked procedures, RepairLogic promotes profitability by identifying OEM-required work early so that shops can get paid for what they do.
Boosting Repairer Confidence
Confidence in the repair process is just as important as efficiency. Repair teams need to know they are following OEM requirements every time, without second-guessing or wasted effort. After adopting RepairLogic, repairers report not only faster repair planning but also greater confidence and consistency in their work.
More than half of surveyed repair teams felt an increase in confidence* in their average repair after utilizing RepairLogic. Plus, that confidence translates into measurable business results:

What's New in RepairLogic
RepairLogic isn't standing still. Over the past year, we've continued investing in enhancements that make the repair planning process faster, more accurate, and easier to share. Here are a few of the most impactful upgrades our customers are already using every day:
1.
Calibration Guide
More than 700 shops have used the Calibration Guide that launched in July, saving an average of 17 minutes per plan and increasing calibration procedures added by 53%. With this enhancement, repairers can identify OEM-required calibrations more easily and document them to provide insurer justification.
2.
Commonly Added Procedure Callouts
Since launch, more than 90,000 procedures with the "Commonly Added" callout have been added to Repair Plans, helping shops capture required steps faster and more consistently.
“Using the newly added Commonly Added Procedure feature greatly reduces time scrolling for procedures when completing the repair plan. Just another added value from RepairLogic.”
Kevin BucheckerEstimatics, Kraft's Body Shop
3.
Sharable Repair Plan QR Codes
Since its launch this summer, more than 13,000 Sharable Repair Plans have been generated, with QR codes scanned more than 4,000 times across 1,200+ plans. On average, each plan is scanned three times by technicians, estimators, insurers, and customers, bringing transparency and accessibility directly to mobile devices.
4.
Expanding OEM Coverage
With the addition of Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia, RepairLogic now supports a more comprehensive repair planning experience that covers more than 90% of vehicles on the road today.
The Workspace shows each technician's progress and acts as the shop's source of truth for verifying completion of the repair once everything is checked off. See at a glance what each technician has completed and what's still in progress for the repair.
And we're not done yet!
Stay tuned for even more innovation, automation, and integration, designed to simplify planning, strengthen documentation, and help drive the next generation of safe, confident repairs.
Conclusion
RepairLogic helps shops build stronger foundations for better repairs, documentation, and clearer communication across the board. By showing linked procedures, streamlining workflows, and making every repair plan more justifiable, the platform empowers shops to raise their standards and operate with confidence. That confidence helps build trust with technicians, insurers, and customers alike.
Plus, it shows in the numbers with fewer comebacks, faster approvals, and more complete repairs. As vehicles grow more complex, the need for smarter repair planning only increases. With RepairLogic, shops can move forward one confident repair at a time.
