How Davis Paint & Collision Uses CCC ONE + RepairLogic
Davis Paint & Collision has served the Oklahoma City and Midwest City area for 36 years, operating three locations and processing 250 to 300 repair orders a month. Brian Davis, Regional Director, has been with the shop for 25 years and helped it grow into a multi-location operation with certifications across Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Toyota, FCA/Stellantis, and I-CAR Gold Class, among others. Before integrating RepairLogic with CCC ONE, Davis Paint & Collision knew there were repair procedures and calibrations that could be slipping through the cracks. Estimators spent hours researching OEM procedures after teardown, making it difficult to identify every operation before work began. The result wasn’t just extra research time. It meant revenue opportunities were being discovered later or missed altogether.

“Before, the technician would disassemble the vehicle, then the estimator would spend half a day doing research trying to identify all of those key components that needed to be repaired or replaced,” Davis explained.”
Connecting RepairLogic and CCC ONE
Davis Paint & Collision implemented the RepairLogic and CCC ONE integration to bring estimating, OEM research, and repair planning into a single workflow. Instead of estimating first and researching later, estimators begin building an OEM-backed repair plan as they write the estimate. Clicking a motor group in CCC ONE immediately opens the matching OEM procedures in RepairLogic, helping teams identify required operations before the vehicle reaches teardown.
“With the integration, estimators can click on a repair operation in CCC ONE and see the matching OEM procedure open in RepairLogic, without leaving the estimate. Now with the integration happening, we can actually click in one area and then have it on the other screen and actually start building a repair plan at the same time,” Davis said.
As long-time RepairLogic users, the team found the transition to the integrated workflow to be a smooth one. The rollout was easy and they welcomed the change that enabled them to work in one system instead of two.
The Results
The connected workflow changed how repairs move through the shop. Estimators and technicians now work from the same OEM documentation, which has closed communication gaps between the front end and back end. Repair conversations used to rest on one person’s opinion. Now both sides are looking at the same procedures.
Research time per vehicle has dropped by roughly half compared to before the integration. The number of procedures, labour items, and calibrations identified has increased four times over.
At a glance:
Repair plan accuracy: Up to 4x increase in identified procedures, labour items, and calibrations
Calibration-related work: about 8% of total repair dollars
Research time per vehicle: cut by roughly half
Consistent, documented repair plan followed: about 90% of the time
Davis also noted that calibration revenue keeps climbing as his team gets more familiar with common models and repeat repair patterns.
Another benefit comes from where the documentation originates. Because every recommendation is backed by OEM documentation, estimators spend less time defending required operations and more time moving repairs forward. Usage reporting has also given Davis visibility into which estimators are following procedures consistently and which need more training, something he called the most valuable part of the integration from a regional director’s perspective. Across the team, a documented, consistent repair plan is followed about 90 percent of the time.
“Calibration revenue keeps climbing as his team gets more familiar with common models and repeat repair patterns.”
Looking Ahead
“Really, it’s just building out the plan to make sure the car is repaired correctly,” Davis said. “It’s kind of like when you go to the grocery store. You don’t just walk the aisles and get what you want. You make a list, a plan, and you get what you need and then you can leave. Using RepairLogic allows you to find what you need versus worrying about the information that isn’t needed for that repair.”
As Davis Paint & Collision looks to add more shops across the Oklahoma City market over the next year or two, Davis sees RepairLogic scaling with that growth, helping ensure repairs are done correctly at every new location.
“Getting two extra calibrations a month covers the cost of RepairLogic for us. That’s a huge ROI that any owner or general manager could actually see.”
